A MODEL IN CO-OPERATIVE FELLOWSHIP

A.P. Cable Operators Welfare Association, (AP COWA), is an extensive co-operative style organization formed by the cable operators of the Navya Andhra Pradesh. Due to the creation of the split in the state of Andhra Pradesh into Telangana and Navya Andhra Pradesh, an opportunity arose where the cable operators of the newly created state of Andhra Pradesh perceived a chance to reorganize their Association.

A.P. Cable Operators Welfare Association is made up of 30,000 cable operators grouped by the varied districts of Navya Andhra Pradesh. The district level committees control the district level administrations and supervise the functioning of the local area committees, which in turn impart all information to the member operators. Cable Operation has become a vital to the communication infrastructure of every city and village in Andhra Pradesh due to the reach of cable to every corner of Andhra Pradesh and minimal disruption due to weather. Cable Operators of Navya Andhra Pradesh will be generating employment to a minimum of 1,25,000 young people in the state.

A.P. Cable Operators Welfare Association, recognizing the importance of governmental oversight and policy, continuously keeps abreast of all changes in governance regarding anything and everything that affects Cable Operation. Also being aware of the growth and importance of different types of media, A.P. COWA ensures every member abides by the rules of the business at the organizational and business levels and is aware that these rules are imperative to the continued success of his business.
